Well, it was certainly time for me to re-write my "About Me" section! I started this blog nearly two years ago. At the time I was a stay-at-home-mom to two children (who are now 6 and 4). Now I am a full-time working (outside the home) mom working at a local university in academic affairs. Though I don't have nearly as much time for blogging, I still love to pass on a good deal and that is why Sara The Savvy Shopper is here!
More about me and this blog...in addition to being a mother of two fun kiddos, I am a happy wife to an amazing guy who flies C-130's for the the Air National Guard. We live in beautiful Brookside in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. I started this blog in early 2009 because I decided to make a change in the way I managed our budget. I wanted to save money on the things that we need, stop buying so much of what we do NOT need, and also have a little cash left for the occasional splurge. How does someone who really LOVES to shop live a frugal lifestyle? It isn’t easy. But I’m proud of how far I have come and how much I have learned. I am also so happy that I can share all of my money-saving strategies and great deals with all of you through this blog!
